WestJet reveals updated low-cost option

WestJet has a new lowest-cost option known as UltraBasic.

The new rate, which replaces the basic fare, does not allow for carry-on bags, unless a customer is flying on a long-haul flight.

Seats together are also not guaranteed and UltraBasic ticket holders will be the last to board the plane.

UltraBasic does not allow for changes, cancellations or refunds on flights and there are no rewards included.

WestJet said this new offer will provide affordable travel options to customers and will result in lower-priced tickets across its routes.
