Tigers make two trades with Seattle Thunderbirds
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Over the past couple of days, the Tigers have made two moves. Today, the Tigers traded ’05 defenceman Braeden Wynne to Seattle for a 9th round pick in the 2024 WHL prospects draft. Coach Willie Desjardins says Seattle wanted some depth, and Wynne wasn’t getting much play time on the Tigers.
Yesterday, the Tigers also sent Cru Hanas to the Seattle Thunderbirds. In exchange, they acquired WHL rights to 2007 born defenceman Reily Pickford. Hanas spent last season with the Tigers, with one goal and three assists in 39 games.
“I think Cru was a good person, he’s worked hard. He wasn’t getting an opportunity here. I think he can be a really good player, we just have lots of numbers and it’s hard to get everybody out there and it’s not fair if a guy’s not playing. I think he can be successful and I wish him all the best,” says Desjardins about Cru Hanas.
