Single family home suffers serious damage in fire late Sunday evening

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Firefighters from all three stations battled flames and high wind as they were called to a fire at a single family home around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
It was in the zero hundred block of Sunset Crescent SW.
A fire that began at the rear of the home worked its way into the roof of the structure, causing extensive damage.
Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent properties and were able to rescue two cats from the home as well.
