MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers will face off against the Calgary Hitmen tonight for the third time this season and in the third different venue.

The Tigers were on the wrong end of a 5-2 score Saturday at Co-op Place. The Central Division rivals also met on Nov. 4, when the Hitmen were victorious by a 5-1 score at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on the Tsuut’ina Nation.

In both games, the Tabbies scored first before the Hitmen rolled past the Tigers on the way to the win.

The Tigers are led on the scoresheet by Andrew Basha and Brendan Lee. Basha leads the team with 26 points on six goals and 20 helpers, while Lee is the goals leader with 14, also netting 11 assists so far this season.

Oasiz Wiesblatt’s 10 goals and 10 assists give the Tigers three players with at least 20 points.

The Hitmen can make the same claim. Riley Fiddler-Schultz (13-11-24), Grayden Siepmann (6-17-23) and Oliver Tulk (10-10-20) lead the way for the Calgary squad.

The Tigers carry an 8-12-4-1 record into tonight’s contest, which puts them fifth in the division and 10th in the Eastern Conference. The Hitmen are 12-6-3-1, third in the division and sixth in the conference.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. from the Scotiabank Saddledome, and you can hear all the action live on Wild 94.5 with voice of the Tigers Gino De Paoli.

Saturday is the annual Teddy Bear Bear Toss game back at Co-op Place when the Tigers will welcome the Saskatoon Blades. Tickets are still available and Gino will also have that game’s call on Wild 94 5
