MEDICINE HAT, AB- After a two year hiatus, family fun at the Spectrum Festival is back.

Situated at Kin Coulee Park, beer gardens, live music, bouncy castles and food trucks await eager festival goers.

New this year, is three days of Pure Power Wrestling, that is free of charge, and a skate school put on by the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association. A tradeshow will also be held on site, organized by the Mom Market.

On average, the event usually brings in between 3000, to 5000 people every year. Justin Wright, president of the Spectrum Festival says they are anticipating a big crowd this year now that COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

“I think there is a ton of appetite right now and I don’t think we need to look much further than a week ago to see the excitement around the community { for events}” said Wright referring to the hot air balloon festival.
