Province to review pandemic response

Alberta will undertake a third-party review of its COVID-19 response that will improve the province’s ability to respond to a potential second wave of the virus as well as any future pandemics.

The government is currently seeking proposals for the review. The deadline to submit a proposal is Aug. 10 and the province wants to choose the successful candidate by Aug.19 so review can begin immediately and be completed this fall.

A request for proposals (RFP) is now open for a thorough review of all aspects of the pandemic response, including:

health system response
economic response
governance and decision-making
procurement
engagement with other governments and stakeholders
communications
