Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – January 7

Happy Hatter

Bharswisk also said she didn’t understand why so many pundits in Canada ridiculed Trudeau and his family for wearing traditional Indian clothing during last February’s visit to the country. The prime minister’s Montreal riding comprises a significant Indian-Canadian population, she said, and Trudeau has for years attended events in the community, sometimes wearing traditional clothing. Shame on all media after this statement.

Mad Hatter

I like how council justifies the “net zero”, when Calgary did not. Most employees experience pay changes when fees increases occur.

Happy Hatter

I have been shopping local as much as possible. I find the customer service in the smaller local shops very friendly and always happy to assist.

Mad Hatter

I would love to do what council did and get away with it with my employer. You increased my fees for and fees for….so because of these fee increases take home is less, so you need to fix that so my take home pay is the same. They can try to justify it, Calgary Council DID NOT do what Medicine Hat Council did – vote for an increase to have the net zero, This net zero (increase) will be paid for Medicine Hat residents.

Mad Hatter

Speaking of lies and half truths, YES, the city did give themselves a raise. Just because the tax laws changed doesn’t mean that the tax payers should pony up to keep councils “take home” pay the same. My employer didn’t adjust my pay when the carbon tax came in, or when provincial and federal tax rates go up. My take home pay changed for the worse. I had to suck up the difference. Tax payers only have so much money and this city seems to keep taking and taking. Higher pay, outrageous fees on utilities and constantly rising property taxes. There needs to be accountability on council before we are all broke.

Happy Hatter

Would really like to thank the amazing person whom helped out a certain young lady who was in a very vulnerable situation on New Years Eve. You did what some would have just walked away from. From the bottom of this moms heart I thank you soo much for being a wonderful soul. Without your care I may never have seen my little girl again. As well lots of thanks to MHPS and EMT team and of course our MHRH.
