MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have traded Gary Haden to the Saskatoon Blades.

The team announced Thursday afternoon they had acquired 19-year-old forward Logan Christensen from the Blades in exchange for Haden.

“We are very excited about Logan joining the Tigers,” said Shaun Clouston, Medicine Hat Tigers head coach and general manager, in a statement. “He is an intelligent, two-way player that brings with him valuable league experience and adds depth to our lineup. We would also like to thank Gary for his time and contributions to the organization and wish him all the best in Saskatoon.”

Haden, who joined the Tigers in 2016, requested a trade earlier this month. In 115 games with the team, Haden has scored 25 goals and added 28 assists for 53 points. So far this season, Haden has recorded only three points (one goal, two assists).

Christensen was selected by the Blades in the second-round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. He has played 197 games for the team, scoring 58 points (21 goals, 37 assists).

The Tigers are on the road Friday evening, taking on the Regina Pats. The puck drops at 7 p.m., and Bob Ridley will have the call on CHAT 94.5 FM.

The Tigers return home to the Canalta Centre on Saturday, hosting the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:30 p.m.
