New trade tool identifies $4-trillion in export opportunities for Southeast Alberta businesses
A new online tool identifying $4 trillion in potential export opportunities could help Southeast Alberta businesses find new customers and reduce their reliance on the U.S. market amid ongoing tariff and trade uncertainty.
Trade Explorer, launched by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Business Data Lab, allows businesses to compare potential markets across 182 countries and identify where demand for Canadian products is strongest.
Lisa Dressler, executive director of the Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce, says the tool gives businesses a way to explore new markets using information specific to their products and export goals.
“There’s been many challenges with trade and tariffs and access to information. It’s been quite overwhelming,” Dressler said.
