Medicine Hat City Council to weigh four land-use proposals Monday
Medicine Hat City Council will consider four land-use proposals Monday, including plans to convert two motels into housing, build a four-unit row house in Saamis Heights and establish an Amazon package distribution facility in the historic Ogilvie Flour Mill complex.
Two motels proposed for housing
Council will consider second and third readings of Bylaw 4891-2026, which would rezone the Ranchmen Motel at 535 16 St. S.W. from Regional Commercial Special Use to Neighbourhood Residential 2.
The applicant wants to convert the existing low-rise motel into multi-unit housing.
