Mounties charge a second man in connection with a 2025 business fire in Leader

RCMP have arrested and charged a second man in connection with a fire that destroyed a business in Leader last year.

Leader RCMP say they arrested 28-year-old Navjot Singh of Leader on Wednesday, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the October 2025 fire.

Singh faces additional charges related to the theft and arson of a commercial vehicle in Leader in November 2025, as well as an alleged conspiracy involving the theft and arson of two commercial vehicles in June and July of 2026.

He faces seven charges, including conspiracy to commit arson for a fraudulent purpose, break and enter and commit arson, arson for a fraudulent purpose, counselling an offence not committed, conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle, fraud over $5,000 and arson with disregard for human life.
