Tigers announce trio of signings ahead of second preseason game

Molyneux signs with the Tigers after nearly signing last season after camp but electing to wait one more year before making a decision.

“He just about signed last year, came back this year, and this is the way he wants to go, so it’s good to get him.”

Molyneux, from Anchorage, AK, becomes yet another US-born signing for the Tigers who have continued to recruit from down south (and very far north) since the change to the NCAA-eligibility rule nearly two years ago.

The most recent signee for the Tigers is Luke Bodtker, their third-round selection from the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.

“We had a lot of big boys at camp and Bodtker- I don’t know what he’d weigh, maybe one hundred and forty pounds- he’s probably one hundred pounds lighter than some of these guys, so it’s really hard to compete against that, but it didn’t bother him, he competed hard and did a great job so we’re certainly excited about him.”

Bodtker found the scoresheet in the Tigers opening game of the preseason against the Hurricanes, scoring what would go on to serve as the eventual game-winner with 3:25 remaining in regulation.

The Tigers and Hurricanes rematch tomorrow night inside Co-op Place before the two division rivals open the regular season up against one another September 18th in Lethbridge.
