Bronze went to Duchess’s Jessa Mandel in the 15U Female Javelin Throw.

Zone 1, the Sunny South, which spans southern Alberta, finished at the bottom of the medal standings with seven medals, two gold, two silver, and three bronze.

The lone gold medal went to Ella Churko of Lethbridge in the 15U Female Shot Put.

Also representing Zone 1 and winning a silver medal was Hattie Mitchell of St. Albert in the 15U Female Javelin Throw.

The other bronze medal winner was Asher Friesen in the 100-metre breaststroke male swimming event.
