Jul 16, 2026 | 11:31 AM

A busy offseason continues for the Medicine Hat Tigers, who announced the signing of 2009-born forward Nolan Marto late Thursday morning.

Marto, a product of Grand Forks, ND, joins an ever-growing list of American-born Tigers, including the likes of Noah Davidson, Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll, and Carter Casey.

Listed at 5’8″, 146 lbs, Marto averaged nearly a goal per game for Grand Forks Central High last season, netting 22 goals in just 27 games.

The season prior, Marto put up 126 points in 50 games for Grand Forks Bantam AA program.

Marto was drafted by Medicine Hat 38th overall during the 2024 U.S. Priority Draft and will be eligible for the upcoming 2027 NHL Entry Draft.

This is the second forward the Tigers have signed this week after inking 2026 CHL Import Draft first-round selection Arvid Drott to a WHL Scholarship and Development deal yesterday.
