S3 Group Ltd. relocating a production operation base from Ontario to Medicine Hat

The S3 Group Ltd. announced on Friday that its S3 AWS Airbar division is relocating its production operation base from Mitchell, Ont., to the company’s production facility in Medicine Hat.

S3 Group Ltd. is a company headquartered in Swift Current, approaching its 60th year in agricultural manufacturing. It operates facilities across North America, delivering products and manufacturing solutions to agricultural equipment brands.

The company states that the transition to Medicine Hat will support continued growth and create operational efficiencies across product development, manufacturing, and distribution.

Medicine Hat’s location in the heart of the Southern Alberta transportation corridor, they say, will better serve dealers and customers across North America.

S3 Group’s Medicine Hat production facility of more than 20,000 square feet opened in 2023 with support from the Government of Alberta’s Investment and Growth Fund.

“Relocating S3 AWS Airbar operations to our Medicine Hat production facility will modernize our product development and streamline our manufacturing and distribution,” said CEO Richelle Andreas.

“We’ve planned this transition ahead of the in-season period to minimize disruption for our customers and dealers,” she added.

“Throughout the move, it will be business as usual; our sales team remains available to take calls, and product continues to ship as we bring S3 AWS Airbar operations together in Medicine Hat.”

The S3 Group portfolio includes grain aeration fans, pneumatic systems for air seeders, and combine airbars.

The company states that the transition of operations will occur over the coming months, with a focus on ensuring continuity of service for customers, dealers, and partners.
