Medicine Hat Police Service have released a report regarding the arrest of two individuals on Monday in the 0–100 block of Heckbert Court NE, around 5:45 p.m.

The individuals arrested have been identified as Tyrone Roulette, 18, and Spencer Roulette, 22, both of Medicine Hat.

A witness says they saw a drone and an armoured vehicle along with several officers outside a home on Heckbert Drive Northeast, arriving at about 5:45 p.m. and remaining for approximately 45 minutes.

A video obtained by CHAT News shows police stating they are executing a search warrant and entering the home.

While approaching the police, a witness said the item from his lips appeared to be a joint of marijuana, which looked to have been lit as he approached officers to cooperate with the arrest.

Police have confirmed the arrests stem from a robbery that occurred Feb. 8 at about 9:43 p.m. at a convenience store on 12 Street NE.

Police said three suspects wearing face coverings entered the store while an employee was working alone, with one suspect allegedly producing a knife while the other two prevented the employee from leaving.

The suspects fled with about $60 in cash, cigarettes valued at roughly $5,000 and lottery scratch tickets worth an estimated $5,000, with no injuries reported according to the police.

Police said the stolen cigarettes and lottery tickets were recovered during the search, along with clothing consistent with the robbery.

The individuals arrested have been charged with robbery, unlawful confinement and disguise with intent, as they remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 11.

The third suspect, Tyler Roulette, 30, remains outstanding and is wanted on a warrant.

Information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the outstanding suspect is asked to contact the Medicine Hat Police Service at 403-529-8481.
