Southern Alberta Summer Games underway in Taber

Southern Alberta Recreation Association Chair Kaylee Ostenberg previously said in a news release that the SASG have been a tremendous success over the last few years.

“We are extremely excited about the Town of Taber hosting the 2025 Southern Alberta Summer Games. Based on the feedback received last year from both new and returning athletes, we are confident that this year will also be exceptional,” said Ostenberg.

The Town of Taber is putting on a series of festivities to coincide with the event.

Wednesday, July 2 – Welcome BBQ 5:30 p.m. at Confederation Park to follow the Opening Ceremonies and Athlete March
Thursday, July 3 – Tabers Farmers Market (5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.)
Friday, July 4 – Taber Spray Park (Open daily 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and Taber Library Arts and Crafts (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Saturday, July 5 – Closing Ceremonies 5:00 p.m. at Confederation Park and After Party for Athletes & Family 6:00 p.m. at The Pin
