The Medicine Hat Tigers left on their bus Monday afternoon from Co-op Place in front of a crowd and with an escort out of the city.

The Tigers head to Lethbridge for their third and fourth games of their Eastern Conference final playoff series with the Hurricanes Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Leading two games to none in the series the Tigers are looking to complete the series sweep on the road over the next two games.

Game 5 would be back at Co-op Place on Friday, if necessary.

A large crowd showed up to send the team down Highway 3, and the Medicine Hat Police Service and the Medicine Hat Fire and Emergency Services gave them a traffic escort as they made their way out of the city.

The Tigers announced earlier Monday that captain Oasiz Wiesblatt has signed a three year contract with the American Hockey League‘s Milwaukee Admirals.

The Admirals are the affiliate of the Nashville Predators who have Wiesblatt’s older brother Ozzy also with the organization.

Tigers alternate captain Tanner Molendyk is also already signed with the Predators organization after being selected by Nashville in the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

The Western Hockey League announced the Tigers netminder Harrison Meneghin as the WHL Goaltender of the Week for the second consecutive week.
