On April 20 in Redcliff, a complainant advised RCMP a male and female attended his home that he sold a couple of weeks ago, stating they saw the house was advertised for rent on Facebook.

The complainant advised the house was not for rent and the male and female departed.
Redcliff RCMP reminded citizens that this is common scam on Facebook where a fake profile is used and pictures from a home previously posted for sale are used.
RCMP said a deposit is demanded to hold the place for rent, however, there is no home to rent.
It advised to check out property in person before sending a deposit.

On April 22 at approximately 2:30 a.m., RCMP said an older dark coloured Ford F-150 with chrome running boards was observed on video entering the property at 2:34 a.m. and attempting to steal fuel.
RCMP said suspects entered an unlocked quonset on the property and stole two dirt bikes — a black and orange 2016 KTM 500 EXE with VIN number VBKEXP40XGM400864 and a orange and black 2014 KTM 450 SXF with VIN number VBKMXP436DM318616, along with other property.
Police said suspects then stole a red 2005 Ford dully pick up truck bearing an Alberta marker of BBK 8942 which was parked at the location, and then loaded the stolen dirt bikes into the box and fled the scene.
Both trucks were seen leaving the main entrance at 3:40 a.m., by video surveillance on scene that captured the vehicles.
RCMP said the file still under investigation.
