Schaeffer Gordon-Carroll and Gavin McKenna scored six seconds apart early in Game 1, and the Medicine Hat Tigers never looked back en route to the 5-2 Game 1 victory.

The Tigers’ top line of Ritchie, Wiesblatt, and McKenna combined for eight points in the Game 1 win, each recording a goal.

With a pair of points on the night, Gavin McKenna extended his point streak to 50 games, tying Alexander Radulov for the longest point streak in the CHL since 2000.

Ethan Neutens added the other Tiger tally to make it 5-1 a little over halfway through the game.

Lethbridge Hurricanes netminder Jackson Unger was pulled after allowing five goals on 22 shots, marking the third time in the last five games the Tigers have chased their opponents’ starter.

Koen Cleaver came in to relieve Unger and stopped all 14 shots he faced in relief.

Tigers netminder Harrison Meneghin stopped 17 of 19 shots in the win, improving to an impressive 7-0-0 this postseason.

Tanner Molendyk extended his point streak to five games, adding an assist on the night.

Lethbridge’s Logan Wormald and Brayden Yager each found the back of the net for the Hurricanes in the loss.

Medicine Hat outshot the Hurricanes 36-19, marking the second straight game they’ve held their opponent to under 20 shots.
