The Prince George Spruce Kings facing elimination in game six of their first round BCHL playoff series with the Chilliwack Chiefs where able to come away with a win.

Forward Will Moore started the scoring for the Spruce Kings just 47 seconds into the second period, with assists going to Linden Makow and Owen Goodbrand.

Forward Nick Metelkin helped give the Spruce Kings a 2-0 lead at the 8:35 mark of the second period, assisted by Ryan Wachtel and Trent Ballentyne.

That was all the scoring the Spruce Kings needed as goaltender Charles-Edward Gravel had a 24 save shutout in front of 1,543 at Kopar Memorial Arena on Sunday.

The home team has won all six games of the series so far.

The Coastal Conference eighth seed Spruce Kings will look to change that trend and upset the top team in the conference during game seven in Chilliwack on Tuesday.
