Brooks RCMP find gun while searching for stolen e-bike

Brooks RCMP say they found a gun while searching a residence for a stolen electric bicycle.

Mounties executed the search warrant in Brooks as part of an investigation into the stolen bike.

Officers found a .22 caliber rifle and seized it, police say in a news release.

A 29-year-old man was charged with firearms offences.

The e-bike was later found abandoned in an alley, police add.

The man is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.
