Individual with multiple outstanding warrants taken into custody in Brooks

RCMP arrested an individual with multiple outstanding warrants Wednesday evening in Brooks, police say.

At approximately 6:50 p.m., RCMP spotted the individual in the Meadowbrook area, who then attempted to flee on foot.

A brief foot chase led to the individual being apprehended by mounties and taken into custody, where they remain.

As a result of this incident RCMP are expecting to lay additional charges, however those charges have not been sworn in court at this time.
