Brooks RCMP officer assaulted early Sunday

A Brooks RCMP officer was assaulted by a bar patron early Sunday morning, shortly after 3 a.m.

Officers attended the Blue Nile Bar in response to a 911 hang-up call.

Once on scene, officers asked a female to identify herself, but she began yelling and screaming at them.

She was place under arrest for obstruction.
