Traffic stop in Brooks leads to drug arrest

A traffic stop of a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in Brooks has lead to a drug arrest by RCMP.
At 1:40 p.m. an officer with the Brooks RCMP stopped a vehicle with a burnt-out license plate light.
After approaching the vehicle and speaking with the driver, the officer developed reasonable grounds to believe both the driver and the passenger were involved in illicit activity.
An arrest was made and search of the vehicle executed, which lead to the discovery of 18.5 grams of methamphetamine and 2 grams of cocaine along with drug paraphernalia.
