The Medicine Hat Tigers have traded for a goaltender.

In a Wednesday night deal with the Regina Pats, the Tiger bring in 2007-born goaltender Cruze Chase for a 2028 8th round pick.

Chase, from Airdrie, Alta. is playing for the Alberta Junior Hockey League‘s Calgary Canucks so far this season.

He has a .903 save percentage and a 2.39 goals-against average through 12 games so far this season.

Chase was a 7th round pick of the Regina Pats in the 2022 WHL Prospect Draft.

He is a former teammate of Tigers forward Carter Cunningham who started the 2024-25 season with the Canucks.
