MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat transit system will be offering expanded hours on two of their routes beginning Jan. 4.

Route 21 will expand its services to include weekday evenings and Sundays.

This adjustment will allow reliable hospital access and alleviate demand on MHTnow, which will no longer serve Route 21 bus stops.

MHTnow will however still maintain service at all other central zone locations.

Route 21 will run weekdays from 6:45 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. and Sundays 8:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Route 56 after being piloted will remain with expanded hours as it provides access from Southlands Boulevard and Masterpiece Lodge to key shopping destinations, including Medicine Hat Mall and the Walmart shopping area.

The city will add morning service hours and the route will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. due to the success of Route 56.
