MEDICINE HAT, AB – Power was completely restored for Medicine Hat customers in the north Flats and Parkview area by 8:20 p.m. Monday evening.

Power had been restored to all but 15 customers by 6:15 p.m. and all but three locations by 7:08 p.m. on Monday evening.

Crews were investigating an outage affecting 1,505 customers in the Parkview and North Flats neighbourhoods, the city said at 2:01 p.m. Monday afternoon.

“Power to 900 customers has been restored as crews continued to isolate and narrow down the cause of the outage,” the city had said in an update at 3:54 p.m.

“Six hundred customers remain without electricity at that time. the statement had added.

People have commented on the City of Medicine Hat’s social media post that the outage began for some as early as just before noon.

The city also issued a statement on social media warning of intermittent outages.

“If your power was out and has since been restored, you may experience continuing momentary outages while crews continue to resolve the outage for all customers,” the city said earlier.
