Line up for Quonset Days announced

Nov 22, 2023 | 9:46 AM

Medicine Hat, AB–Brett Kissell, George Canyon, Steven Lee Olson, and Nice Horse are the headliners performing at Quonset Days next summer.

Held in July, the country music festival is an annual event to raise funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. ALS is a devastating illness that gradually robs individuals of their ability to control their bodies while keeping their mental faculties intact.

The event was created in 2010 in memory of Peter Biemans who passed away from ALS a year earlier. The festival is held on the Biemans farm just outside Seven Persons.

Organizers say the event is 100% non-profit and is run entirely by volunteers. Every dollar raised is donated to the ALS Society of Alberta. To date $650,000 has been raised.

In addition to country music, Quonset Days features tractor races, local food trucks, camping, as well as silent and live auctions.

Quonset days is being held July 19 & 20, 2024 and tickets go on sale this Friday. For tickets or more information visit quonsetdays.com.
