MEDICINE HAT, AB – Canada turns 156 years old this year and the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede has big plans for the occasion on Saturday.
It starts with a free pancake breakfast at 9 a.m., rolls on for the official opening ceremonies at noon and ends with fireworks at 11 p.m.
Darlene Keeler, the president of the Stampede, joined Lisa Parent on CHAT News at Noon to talk about everything going on at the Stampede grounds on Canada Day, the forecast for July 1 and gives a few details on the Stampede parade four weeks from today.
