2023 Kaleidoscope of the Arts includes a new silent auction

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Children from various grades in Prairie Rose Public Schools will showcase their talent in various art forms. The 2023 Kaleidoscope of the Arts is taking place on Thursday.

Children of various ages had the chance to submit art pieces they have worked on and to put their hands to work in learning other art forms. Ann Morrison, a teacher from Eagle Butte High School, is overseeing the event and says that this year’s event brings a new addition in addition to numerous other activities.

“This year we are also incorporating a silent auction to our event as well. So there are workshops on Thursday morning, there is a show Thursday afternoon from 12:30 to 2 for schools. There is a silent auction from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and an evening show from 6:30 until 8 p.m.,” Morrison said on Tuesday.

Morrison says that the event aims to promote enthusiasm for the fine arts and to showcase everything that students have to offer and celebrate what makes each student unique.

Around $5,000 in items have been donated for the silent auction with proceeds going to help fundraise towards Kaleidoscope. Morrison says that everyone is welcome to come check out the event on Thursday.
