Twin brothers two of Tigers’ 10 picks in Prospects Draft

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Ten young hockey players are now members of the Medicine Hat Tigers family. Two of them are already family.

With their first pick the Tigers selected Liam Ruck at ninth overall. They then struck a deal with the Seattle Thunderbirds for the 21st overall pick and took Liam’s twin brother Markus. They played for the Okanagan Hockey Academy in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League last season.

Liam led the OHA in scoring with 90 points on 53 goals and 37 assists in 27 games. Markus was second with 87 points on 22 goals and 65 assists in 27 games.

With their third pick at 53rd overall, the Tigers chose Koray Bozkaya from Yale Academy. He had 10 goals and 10 assists. in 24 games this season.
