Boiler failure leads to closure of Crestwood Rec Centre

MEDICINE HAT — City staff are making arrangementS to reschedule classes and activities from the CresTwood Rec Centre to the Big Marble Go Centre after the main boiler failed at the Crestwood facility.
The city anticipated the boiler was in need of replacement; it already had it on hand, but was hoping it would last until the scheduled maintenance shutdown in July.
That didn’t happen so the entire Crestwood rec centre is now closed while repairs to the boiler take place, expected to last 3 weeks.
Existing Crestwood memberships will be honored at the Big Marble Go Centre.
