Police seize sawed off shot gun during arrest

MEDICINE HAT — A 36 year old Medicine Hat is charged with several firearms and stolen property related offences.

While attempting to arrest the man, who had outstanding warrants, police say he reached into a nearby bag where officers later found a loaded sawed off 20 gauge shotgun along with several items of stolen property.

Additional ammunition was also found on the suspect.

He remains in custody until a court date a week from tomorrow.
