Western Canada Lottery Corporation unveils new Plinko game

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Lottery players have a new way to win up to half-a-million dollars through a new game based on the TV show “The Price is Right.”

Plinko which officially launched April 10 is available across the Prairies.

By purchasing a $5 PLINKO ticket, players can win prizes by scratching off the ticket to reveal hidden symbols.

The PLINKO instant ticket combines traditional scratch play with a chance to win cash prizes and an n in-store win experience.

For top prize winners, there is the opportunity to drop a chip on a real PLINKO Board to win up to $500,000. With a $5 PLINKO instant ticket, players can scratch to win an instant cash prize from $5 to $10,000 or a chip win prize.

If a player gets a chip win prize on their ticket, they can watch the animated PLINKO chip drop on the lottery terminal in-store and win a guaranteed prize from $10 to $10,000, or an opportunity to drop a chip of their own if the screen shows PLINKO.

Prizes revealed through the animation are predetermined within the game’s prize structure and associated with the ticket.

The combination of play styles featured with PLINKO is similar to popular instant games The Big Spin and The Bigger Spin – both of which provide top prize winners the chance to spin a wheel to determine their final prize.
