Rattlesnakes to start coming out of hibernation
Medicine Hat, AB–Warmer weather is arriving in Medicine Hat. The return of warmer days also means prairie rattlesnakes will be emerging from hibernation.
Rattlesnakes are common in this part of Southern Alberta and can also be found in isolated locations in southwest Saskatchewan.
As they emerge in the spring, they spend their days basking in the sun to rev up their metabolisms before dispersing for the summer.
