Memorial books set up in Medicine Hat for slain Edmonton officers; funeral to take place Monday
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat Police Service has set up memorial books in honour of the two Edmonton police officers killed in the line of duty last week.
City police say members of the community are invited to the lobby of MHPS to sign the books in for Const. Travis Jordan and Const. Brett Ryan. The books will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from March 21-23. Following that the books will be provided to the families of the fallen officers.
As well, flags at City of Medicine Hat facilities have been lowered to half-mast to recognize the officers. The flags will remain lowered until sunset on the day of their memorial service.
A regimental funeral for Jordan and Ryan is scheduled for Monday, March 27 at Edmonton’s Rogers Place at 1 p.m.
