Big Brothers Big Sisters Medicine Hat selected for Shaw Birdies for Kids program

MEDICINE HAT, AB – On the course, the golfers at this summer’s Shaw Charity Classic will want to see low numbers.

Off the course, Big Brothers Big Sisters Medicine Hat will be looking for high numbers.

The local charity has been chosen as a recipient of the Shaw Birdies for Kids program. Any donations made through the program from March 1 to August 31 will be matched up to 50 per cent.

Holly Stadnicki, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Medicine Hat, says they’re thrilled to be chosen for the program.

“We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to participate in the Shaw Birdies for Kids program,” she says. “This support will help us to continue our work of positively impacting the lives of the youth in Medicine Hat and area through mentorships, in-school mental health and wellness education.”

Stadnicki says donating there will “help us make a real difference and provide real-life skills, education, and friendships that are critical for our youth to thrive in an ever-changing world.”
