Nov 23, 2022 | 12:18 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers return to Co-op Place ice tonight hosting the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Tigers (6-10-4-1) sit fifth in the East Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference, ahead of only the Oil Kings (4-17-1) in both.

Andrew Basha leads the orange and black on the scoresheet, posting 21 points this season on six goals and 15 assists. Brendan Lee’s 12 goals, eight of which have come on the powerplay, tops the team

The Tigers’ lineup could get a boost tonight from the return of forward Tomas Mrsic. He’s been busy winning a silver medal at the World U17s as part of Team Canada Red, where he had one goal and one assist. Cayden Lindstrom also played in the U17s on Team Canada White scoring two goals and two assists in the tournament.

This season is a rebuilding one for the Oil Kings, the defending Ed Chynoweth Cup Champions, who come in having won two straight. Last season the Oil Kings won six of seven meetings with the Tigers. This is the first of six games between the teams this season.

Carson Golder leads the Oil Kings with seven goals and 13 points, including two goals and one assist in the team’s last win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at Co-op Place and you can hear all the action on Wild 94.5 with the voice of the Tigers Gino De Paoli.
