Leader in next phase of SaskTel fibre optic expansion

LEADER, SK – SaskTel announced the new communities scheduled to have rural fibre optic lines added in the next two years yesterday, and Leader, Sask. is on the list.
The Crown corporation will add $100 million to complete the fifth phase of the infiNET service delivery expansion, involving 34 locations announced this week, and another 46 unnamed municipalities expected in the final phase.
Also listed in SaskTel’s announcement on Tuesday were Eston and Herbert in the southwest region.
Maple Creek and Shaunavon were among early communities announced, and Gull Lake was added last year.
