Oct 26, 2022 | 5:24 PM

COALDALE, AB – RCMP in southern Alberta say human remains found near Lethbridge on Monday are those of a woman who was reported missing from the city one week ago.

Following an autopsy at the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Oct. 26, the deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Tia Blood. RCMP say the manner of death has been deemed inconclusive and remains under investigation.

Hunter Alexander Frank, 20, of Lethbridge, has been arrested in relation to this investigation and charged with offering an indignity to human remains and two counts of theft under $5,000.

The investigation is continuing, RCMP say. It is believed that Blood passed away on the night of Oct. 19 or sometime during Oct. 20. RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who may have seen a teal green tarp on the west side of Range Road 225, along the fence line, any time after Oct. 19. The remains were located near Range Road 225 and Township Road 92, in Lethbridge County.

If you have any information regarding the disappearance or death of Tia, is asked to contact the Coaldale RCMP at 403-345-5552. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
