Thirty-one Rattlers win National Scholar Award
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat College Rattlers don’t just strive for success on the court, pitch and course. They also want to be successful in the classroom.
The college has announced that 31 student-athletes were named Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Scholar Award winners for the 2021-22 season. To be recognized as a CCAA National Scholar, an athlete must be named to the honour role at their institution.
“We are pleased to see such a large number of Rattlers student-athletes be awarded this prestigious honour,” says Terry Ballard, manager of athletics and recreation, in a release. “Succeeding as a student while going through the rigours of an athletic season is an outstanding achievement and we are extremely proud of each athlete.”
At least one athlete from each of the Rattlers athletics programs – golf, cross country, basketball, volleyball, soccer and futsal – was recognized.
