Sep 8, 2022 | 3:14 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Like many in the world, Mike Onieu was saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II. As the former commander of CFB Suffield which includes British Army Training Unit Suffield, he has a unique perspective on the Queen.

He joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon initially to speak about an upcoming event at Medalta, where he is currently the executive director. Their conversation started though with a discussion about the Queen’s legacy.

Onieu says he is a big admirer of Elizabeth and when he heard of her death his first thought was singing God Save the Queen in kindergarten.
