Calgary police officer charged in off-duty incident

Calgary police say one of its officers has been charged in connection with an off-duty incident outside of the city.
The police service says in a news release that the officer was arrested and charged with one count of uttering threats after a domestic incident in a neighbouring municipality.
It says it won’t be releasing the name of the officer to protect the privacy of those involved.
Police say he has been with the service for nine years and is currently off on leave.
