Mavericks season over

MOOSE JAW, SK. — The Medicine Hat Mavericks may have been the lowest seeded team in the WCBL playoffs, but they took the East Division pennant winners to the final game of the Division final before bowing out.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express beat the Mavericks 5-1 in the third and deciding game of the Eastern Final in Moose Jaw on Sunday night.

Medicine Hat had won the series opener before Moose Jaw won back to back games to advance to the League final against Okotoks.

The Dawgs swept the Sylvan Lake Gulls in straight games in their Western final series.
