MEDICINE HAT, AB – The name has changed but the mission of the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub is the same as when the food bank was established 30 years ago.
Executive director Melissa Mullis says she, the staff and volunteers are grateful to be able to support people, noting that on some days the Root Cellar receives upwards of 300 calls from clients a day.
Mullis joined Scott Roblin on CHAT News at Noon to talk about the need among the community, the grand opening to celebrate the new building and how the community can lend their support.
