Top lift paving to start next week on Parkview Drive

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Work on Parkview Drive that began two months ago is moving to its next phase.

On Monday, crews will start paving the top lift of the asphalt surface, work that is expected to be finished by Aug. 16, depending on the weather.

The roadway will be reduced to single-lane traffic during paving and so motorists are encouraged to allow extra time for travel and expect delays. Public is urged to obey all construction signage, flag personnel and temporary speed limits through the work zone.

The resurfacing is part of an annual city program. Each year, select roads are planned for resurfacing in the city’s capital budget based on the priority identified within a comprehensive asset management plan.
