Testing of new public water stations underway
MEDICINE HAT — Testing has started on the equipment that’s designed to deliver clean drinking water to public spaces in various locations in Medicine Hat this summer.
The first four water bottle fill stations will be attached to fire hydrants this week, but won’t be enabled for public use during the testing.
The first 4 of 10 locations include Towne Square downtown, Second street between 6th Avenue and South Railway, McCutcheon Trail at McCutcheon Drive NW and Basset Crescent N.W. and the Southridge trail at Stratton Way S.E.
The testing includes flushing the system and taking water samples for lab analysis before they can be turned on.
