Garth Brooks hints at additional shows after quick Edmonton sellout

Garth Brooks has friends in low places and plenty of friends in Alberta.

After tickets for his show this summer at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium sold-out in less than an hour, Brooks is going to talk to his friends at Ticketmaster to “see what the options are.”

Brooks has been known to add shows to his schedule when demand is high. In 2016 what was supposed to be one show in Saskatoon became a nine-show run.

Many fans were disappointed this morning and asked for more shows after the June 25 date.

“Was one of the many in the waiting room. Was finally seeing progress and screen came up saying I was next and be ready to select seats and the next screen was sorry, concert is sold out. Was soooo disappointed. If there’s a chance or adding another show, that would be awesome!!,” wrote Theressa Forbes on Twitter.

“Please @garthbrooks release another show in Edmonton….hell, release 8 more. We will fill the stadium ever night,” Tasha Klimchuk wrote.

A banner hangs in Edmonton’s Rogers place commemorating his nine sold-out shows there in 2017.
