LETHBRIDGE, AB – The sister of a Cardston teenager killed in a single-vehicle crash in southern Alberta last week describes her as “the sweetest, loving human.”

Taylor Olsen, 15, was killed when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a rollover on Highway 501 and Range Road 225 near Del Bonita on Thursday, April 28.

Family and friends are still coming to terms with the devastating loss.

Taylor’s older sister, Teelay, says, “We all loved her so much that words cannot even describe the void that will forever be in our hearts.”

Teelay told Lethbridge News Now that she has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help her parents with funeral expenses so they won’t need to worry about funding.

Other families in southern Alberta have also been directly affected by last week’s crash.

The RCMP confirms that three teens were in the vehicle at the time of the rollover.

Taylor Olsen was one of the passengers. Another passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was flown to a Calgary hospital by STARS Air Ambulance in critical condition. RCMP cannot confirm his identity or provide an update on his current condition.

Police say the 17-year-old female driver of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to the Cardston Health Centre.

RCMP cannot confirm if any charges will be laid in connection to the crash, but its impact is already being felt by many in the community.
